A good thriller but not as atmospheric as i'd have liked.
C.L Taylor is an author whose been on my radar for a while so i'm glad I finally got round to reading one of her books but while I liked this one, it didn't quite live up to all my hopes.
After being involved in a fatal car accident Anna is suffering terribly so decides to up and move to the Scottish island of Rum. She takes up a job at a hotel there but not long after her arrival a storm rolls in and she, and 7 guests, are stuck at the hotel isolated from the rest of the world. Then mysterious things begin to happen and Anna becomes convinced that someone is out to get her.
I definitely enjoyed reading this book and found it hard to put down. However, with the circumstances they were stuck in I was hoping for more of an eerie atmosphere which just didn't deliver. A good book but I couldn't help hoping that it had been lifted to another level. I'm still intrigued to read more of this authors work though!
