Anna moved from London to a remote island in Scotland after an accident that left her guilt ridden. Unfortunately, it seems that her past and her guilt followed her to Scotland and this is the point where you just can’t stop reading until you find out more.
Very well written characters and relatable, C.L. Taylor takes you to this small island for a fantastic murder mystery. Just as I like it, there are plenty twists and turns and the ending was a surprise.
I kept second guessing and spent most of the book wondering who could be behind all of it.
The fear and distress of the characters is so well portrayed that it is almost palpable. My biggest disappointment was that the book didn’t continue for a couple more chapters because I was left with some curiosity and would quite happily read a sequel. Cannot wait for C.L. Taylor’s next books and the chance to read her previous publications!
