There is something with C.L. Taylor books that I either love them or dislike them a lot.

And then there is Sleep. Which I don't know yet what I think about it.

I liked the prologue. It grabbed my attention very quickly and I couldn't stop thinking about it.

What happened? Why is Anna writing a letter like this? Who is Anna? Is she alive?... I couldn't wait to find out all the answers!

I liked that, although the main character is Anna and we follow her story, there were also other chapters told by different characters and we got to know other POV.

I also liked the mystery, the tension, all the unfortunate events that take part in the Isle of Rum. Loved it! It reminded me a little bit of "An Unwanted Guest" and "The Hunting Party", books that I loved!

I liked the twists and turns the story took. There was one of them just before part three but left me shocked. Had to read it twice to assimilate it!

However, at about 60 pages from the end I guessed what was going on and who was behind everything that was happening to Anna. It was a bit underwhelming and I was disappointed with myself for seeing it coming!

I found the last 50 pages or so a little bit redundant as I already knew the who and the why.

I enjoyed, nonetheless, the way the reveal came out and the reasons behind it. I liked the last chapter and how C.L Taylor wrapped up the book.

A book with great potential that my detective skills ruined a bit!
