Haunting
I could not put this down!! I literally read it within 4 hours.
Now it's not my favourite read from C.L. Taylor but I am still super impressed with her writing! I actually had a moment where I felt like I was being watched and genuinely had to turn the lights on throughout my apartment before heading to bed.
I loved the beginning! The character build up and suspense, the story line of grief, loss and coping mechanisms to trauma and the little trails from the killer.
Overall, I was a little underwhelmed as I guessed the killer quite early on and as soon as I felt anxious and built up.. it fell a little flat. As much as I enjoyed the scenes at the hotel, being one disaster after another it lost the initial creepiness and chills.
