This is a classic thriller that grips your attention from the get go. I was completely absorbed in the story and could not put it down. The first sentence 'If you're reading this then I am no longer alive' grabs your attention right away.
Set on a remote Scottish Isle in a guest house with a murderer among the guests. The book included some amazing character building, not only with the main character but also finding out about all of the other characters too. Every character was important and relevant to the story too. There have been quite a few books brought out recently that have been set on a remote island but I felt that this one was unique and didn't just follow the crowd. The danger being on a remote island made this a thrilling, very claustrophobic read.
