I really liked the premise of this and was excited to read it. I love a locked house murder mystery and thought this would be a gripping psychological read that would have me on the edge of my seat.
Unfortunately, I didn't feel there was any suspense in the novel, it was more a case of 'this thing is happening', now 'this is happening'. Lots of tell me rather than show me, and it didn't feel like there was any space for you to guess at anything, it was pretty much fed to you. I must admit I didn't guess the 'whodunnit' but by the end I wasn't even sure there was going to be one, based on a 'twist' in the middle of the book. WIthout spoiling the plot, you have to suspend disbelief to believe that both things would happen!
