I was not disappointed with the opening to the book. Immediately we know several characters and an incident has already happened in the name of the car crash, killing and injuring four people. Blame is being thrown at Anna who to the reader comes across as being innocent. Yet there is the uneasy feeling that all might not be as it seems.
Why did her boyfriend Alex ignore her call the night before and instead sent the short, curt message like he doesnt have time for her? And why to her work colleges mock and insult her behind her back? These little snippets of information lead you to question who Anna really is and what kind of a person she must be.
I was left wanting to read on and try and work out who Anna is for myself!
