Another good novel by C L Taylor.
This is Anna’s story who’s involved in a car accident whilst driving herself and three of her colleagues back home from a work conference. Two of her colleagues die in the crash which makes Anna struggle to cope with her day by day life in the aftermath of the accident. She decides to move to a remote island in Scotland and lead a quiet life there. However, despite the verdict claiming her innocence, there are still a few unconvinced people around and one of them has followed her all the way to Scotland in an attempt to murder her.
I very much enjoyed this book and the short chapters made it a fast-paced read. It did at times feel like an episode of Poirot where you just suspect everyone but I love Poirot and I loved Taylor’s book.
