‘Sleep’ - C.L.Taylor is one of those books that has you hooked from the first page!
The story follows Anna who after a car crash in London, decides to sell up and move to the remote island of Rum in Scotland for a fresh start. Since the accident Anna has had trouble sleeping, not to mention all the strange notes and feeling of being watched that has plagued her since that day!
Right from the first page the author goes straight into the “who done it” keeping the reader guessing throughout until the final chapters.
The chapters are short which makes it more enjoyable to read as you don’t realise just how far into the book you are!
Taylor writes likeable characters who you’re rooting for to succeed throughout the novel! Good character development throughout the book to the extent you feel like you know the characters by the end.
I read this book in two days I couldn’t put it down and would recommend it to anyone who likes thrillers and “who done its”.
