I had been waiting for so long for this to come out! I ran to my local Sainsbury’s on publication day to grab a copy to pack in my suitcase. This was a definite beach read for my holiday later that month.

I found this very easy to read and I managed to finish it in less than a day. The story is mostly set in Rum, Scotland which is what originally drew me to this novel. A few years ago I travelled to Rum with my husband and in-laws. It rained the entire time but it was such a beautiful place that it didn’t matter. It did make me want to go back sometime soon!

An intriguing and interesting mix of characters and personalities. I was constantly questioning each person and didn’t guess the ending at all.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t as eerie or creepy as I had hoped and although I didn’t guess the ending, it still didn’t wow me. I wasn’t particularly keen on the sleep theme but a unique concept. I loved the Agatha Christie feel and would recommend this well written novel for an easy holiday read.
