I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Although it is set in the present day (or at least in the very recent past) there is something quite "old school" about it, but in a good way. The remote setting, with weather conditions that render modern day forms of communication redundant, all help to build a tense, claustrophobic atmosphere. Add that to the restricted cast of characters who are guests at the hotel and you have a very "Christie-esque" recipe.

Well plotted, well written and with engaging characters of dubious backgrounds - what's not to like?

This is the first time I have read anything by C.L. Taylor, but I will certainly be keeping an eye out reading more from her in the future.
