I enjoyed this thriller - although I found it somewhat hard to follow at times. There were so many twists and turns and so it was a really enjoyable thriller. I spent most of the book questioning and suspecting every single character in the hospital. It’s very atmospheric and I almost felt the cold whist reading it. It’s perfect for wet and windy day reading.
The downside for me is that there’s a lot going on in this book and there are a lot of characters all with quite complicated stories. So it’s not a book I found easy to dip in and out of. I think if I had had the chance to sit down and pay more attention and read in longer bursts I wouldn’t have been struggling to keep up quite so much.
So I think I’m at fault rather than the style.
Anna is an interesting protagonist and I found her quite likeable. I will definitely pick up further books by this author in future.
