The cover of this book does a good job of capturing the forced smiles and underlying confusion of Carolyn Woods, who is swept up by the charms of her charismatic husband to be, and (at first) oblivious to his sinister side.

The account reads like a thriller, and I was surprised to find out that this book is based on a true story rather than fictional plot. It makes the events, as unsettling as they are, a lot scarier to think about, and lends a sense of foreboding to everything Carolyn goes through.

I'm sure this will be popular among readers of suspense and true crime.
