I wasn't keen on the cover of this.. I tend to steer clearer of books with posed photos on the front (unless a movie still). I found the blurb interesting and intriguing and wanted to read this as I thought I would enjoy it however the extract I did read just annoyed me. I found myself feeling little sympathy for the main character and wondering what on earth kept her in the situation. It seemed unbelievable. This may be because the extract is from part way through the book, perhaps an opening chapter may have helped me ease into it. The portion I read however had not allowed me to develop any empathy with the main character before simply feeling annoyed by her.
