I really enjoyed this!
This book seems right up my street! I can tell that the plot is intricate and multi-layered and designed to get inside your head.
I find Mark an interesting character - from the off I didn't like him, and he was causing red flags for me, but I just have to find out more about him! Who is he really? Why does he appear to be preying on Carolyn and distancing her from her friends and family?
I particularly enjoyed the realism of Carolyn - it feels as if she could be a very real person who you may pass on the street. Her past intrigues me too - who is the mystery ex who sent her a birthday card? She has children and an extended family - has she been married before? Who is the father of her children? And most of all, what led to her meeting Mark, and what made her want to enter into a relationship with him if is he so unavailable and rude?
I definitely need these questions answering, so this book is certainly one that I will be reading when it becomes available!
