It confused me a little that the excerpt was not the beginning of the book, but the insight into the novel was still really intriguing. I'd love to know more about the relationship between the central character and Mark, Mark seems a nasty piece of work (especially if he's the psychopath of the title!) but I'm definitely keen to find out more...
