This first impression is somewhat appealing. The cover is compelling and the synopsis is intriguing. However, the extract seems to start at chapter 5 and as a result, I didn't feel that I was able to get a good feel for the book. I'm a fan of this genre and I thought I would love this first impression but I can't say that it grabbed me enough to make me want to read the rest of this book.
