Oooh I loved this! This was so up my street. I think the snippet was so clever - it was all about Mark. Everyone waiting around for Mark... a weekend planned to meet Mark... then he arrives and the conversation is all about Mark, he is so arrogant, materialistic and just boasts about what he has. The only time I hear someone refer to our lead character by her name is when the police officer calls her... I think that is very clever of the author! I really despised Mark after reading just this small extract.
