This book was hear to write a review for as it’s a true story of a woman fleeced out of thousands of pounds by a man she said she loved.
Mark came into her life and within a short space of time, she’d fallen for him, and supposedly him for her but little did she know, he was lying to her every step of the way.
Wasn’t keen on the ‘Bubba’ names they called each other as i’m not one for pet names but we’ll bypass that! The story was hard to read as I wasn’t sure how she could get so caught up in things but then, people do anything for love!
I do have empathy for Carolyn and feel sorry for her losing money and wish she could have seen/found out who he was earlier so she could have saved herself from such pain and heartache.
He made her leave her job, her house, wrecked her family ties and made her life a misery. He also made her feel worthless and seems he had no regret in doing so. What a horrible man!
