For a non-fiction book, this story is as page-turning as any great crime thriller. I had no issues with the writing style at all and my interest in it was captivated from the very start - so much so, that I devoured this book over the course of one day. It is thrilling, and throughout the story takes twists and turns and you're never sure where it will quite go next, except for one certainty that you know it won't end well.
My one qualm came from the growing frustration throughout the book, at how horrendously arrogant and obviously psychotic the man was, and how a seemingly intelligent and grounded woman completely fell for it. Even her description of their first day meeting and his overbearing texts that first evening would have been a huge enough red flag this was not a good situation. I don't quite understand how she surrounded to this, and she comes off slightly vain and snobby herself which doesn't endear her to me any more.
However, you have to give her kudos for being so completely honest and straight-forward on her mistakes, and indeed for the captivating style she writes. If you are looking for an incredible story and a book to take you away, this is for sure an entertaining read.
