I felt that this book could have been developed more. I understand that it was a true crime story, but the way it was written felt very simplistic, if not poorly written. The narrator was also not that likeable either, it felt that she was naive and it was hard to sympathise with the narrator at all. Although I was aware reading this, that it was a non-fiction and a true story, it was also hard to read due to the writing style, the 'narrator's' characters and it felt that it was being set up to read like a fiction book yet was poorly executed at the same time.

As a result, it meant I was unable to enjoy the book as much as I thought I would going into it, it felt that it was slow but also hard to engage as the book could have been a short novella, 50 pages but it was dragged out to just over 200 pages (I think) and as a result, it was tempting to not even bother finishing the book.
