I was quite looking forward to reading this book, it sounded really interesting but I have to say I was quite disappointed. Carolyn is a very intelligent woman so I found it quite hard to believe that she fell for them sort of lies, an undercover agent would never go around telling anyone the sort of stories that he did, she was conned out of a lot of money by him but why keep giving when your not getting anything back in return?? That should of been one of many eye openers for her aswell as the other very tall stories he told. I do think she did the right thing in collecting all of the evidence she did and never gave up on getting him convicted though. It really just shows that even in today’s society that just about anyone can be a victim to this these sorts of crimes, overall it’s worth a read to to get some insight into how these things can actually happen
