I was interested to read this book by Carolyn Woods. I initially thought it was a work of fiction after reading the back ..... how could an intelligent lady fall for a con man?? The story is a personal one of Carolyn's meeting with a man called Mark Conway. She was single and working as a shop assistant when he came into the shop as a customer and she appeared to tell him all about her life very quickly....when reading it seems very naive of her. Mark gradually spun a web of lies, telling Carolyn he was a spy at one point as he kept disappearing for weeks....how does anyone believe this! Mark alienated Carolyn from her fiends and family and managed to make her move away to a new area where she had no support. Lots of things in the book do not seem to be believable.....why would you give access to your cash, property and emails so easily. this book was an easy read but frustrating at times!
