I read this book in one sitting, minus important trips for snacks and coffees. I sat on the front steps of my house, engrossed from the start.
The story is captivating, quite simply. The author’s words are raw, and her thoughts and feelings are out on display, and this is what pulls you in. Whilst reading, I was quite amazed at some of the behaviour she had described and I kept thinking how? How could she fall for these elaborate schemes, these trickle fed lies? Some of it is quite frankly, unbelievable but it is an inspiring tale.
Having the courage not only to remove herself from such a situation, but to go on and admit so publicly what had happened and how she had got sucked in, it is brave and humbling.
