At first I thought the book was going to be fiction but then realised it was based on a true story. It reminds me of Dirty John on Netflix and I tho I it would be a good tv show. It’s amazing going through the book how this guy conned so many people. The writer is engaging in her writing and it is easy reading. I like that she includes the texts between them in the book like it’s hapoening in real time. There are lots of clues in the beginning how the guy is a con artist with all his stories and the writer acknowledges the stories he yells are outrageous. However, apparently he was a very good con man and tricked people into believing him. I also like the pictures in the book to go with the story which helps add to everything and understand the authors story. After I finished the book I was wondering what happened and looked him up online to see if there was anything else I could find.
