This book is absolutely compelling. It had me hooked right from the very beginning, I absolutely raced through it, it’s pacy, packed full of revelations, mind blowing and thoroughly thought provoking. If this were a fiction book you’d say it was incredible, well written but perhaps the plot is a little unbelievable. The fact that this is indeed a true crime book blows my mind. The absolute trickery, failures of the system and a huge network of accomplices are what makes this book all the more gripping, it seemed like bumble after bumble for so long.
I remember bits of the story from when it hit the headlines and it feels same to say I “enjoyed” reading the whole story from Carolyn’s point of view but I’m please she gained had closure and is working to put that whole horrendous period behind her.
