I thought the first part of this book was really well written and really showed how coercive control works in a relationship. Also how easy it is for someone to fall under the spell of a coercive controller. This novel also highlights all the way,s they use to control you - like financially, seperating you from your friends and family etc.... This novel also show,s that it doesn't matter how educated you are - anyone can be at risk of suffering from a relationship that is ruled by coercive control. I wasn't so keen on the second part when the author was talking about the police procedures. I feel that the author was really negative about the police and the procedure,s to catch Mark and get a conviction. This annoyed me after a while and makes me think that someone who is reading this who is in a coercive control relationship will be put off reporting it
