I found this book very interesting, have often read about and seen how people can be taken in by these cons but this tells how Carolyn Woods was.
Carolyn felt her life was going well, she had a job she enjoyed, good friends and money in the bank to find herself somewhere nice to live, she was happy with life.
When Mark Conway appeared in the shop where she worked just before closing time asking about a jacket he had seen in the window, she showed it to him and other ones but he kept saying they weren’t quite right as he normally had them made for him.
They spoke a while and then as he was going to leave the shop he asked Carolyn for her phone number which she gave to him, she doesn’t know why she did as that wasn’t normal for her.
It was to start a roller coaster of a journey where she felt in the end she had no say into, he turned out to be Mark Ecklom and this wasn’t the first time he had pulled a con like this.
The only part I didn’t like were at the start of each chapter was some writing from other books, I know a lot of books have this but I really don’t see the point of it.
