At times this excellent book read like a novel it was very thrilling. Your first thought was that it was impossible that a sensible middle aged woman would fall for the stories that Mark Conway was feeding her. He really was like a James Bond figure who fed her stories of his so called under cover exploits not to be repeated of course it was hush hush for her ears only. She fell hook line and sinker and when he needed a loan to put down a deposit on their home together until his funds came through she gave it to him. It was only some months later when he started becoming even more unavailab!e that she discovered he was a con man and a psychopath called Mark Acklom but that was far down the line. A riviting read and the moral don't think it couldn't happen to anyone it certainly could. Absolutely loved this book it taught me that if something or someone appears too good to be true it probably isn't.
