Carolyn met mark when he came into the shop that she worked in one afternoon and was instantly taken in by his charm and confidence. They quickly got into a relationship where he quickly alienated her from her friends and family. Encourage her to give her her job and move away from the area that she lives in to somehwere she did not no. He then convinced her to lend him alot off money to which she agreed. He is a very clever, manipulative man who gained total control over Carolyn and destroyed her life and self esteem. When she started to have doubts about him after a year of not getting her money back she got a shock to find out that he ha just conned her. He is so believable i really felt for her. Great read.
