Based on the first few pages I assume this a crime drama due to the fact that almost instantly it mentions the verb ‘kidnapping’ which is quite a heavy topic to bring in to the book no sooner has it started. Although this appears to be a dark or thrilling read , based on the juxtaposition of the warm orange shade and the cool primary blue colour this could suggest it is perhaps a more lighthearted approach and perhaps controversial.
