I liked the insight into the rather touching relationship between Debbie and her Uncle Billy. He's a quirky character with an eclectic interest in subjects from Greek mythology to astronomy. He seems to have assumed the role of father figure to Debbie, for reasons we don't yet know. The writing flows well but I think I'm probably a bit old to appreciate and fully engage with what looks like it will be a coming of age story.
