Full of warmth and humour
This feels so easy to read and the writing, particularly the dialogue, draws you in before you even realise it is happening. I really enjoyed the opening dynamic between Debbie and her uncle Billy and we learned so much about their relationship through their conversations with each other.
This is a really promising start for a book about the importance of a stable and loving home and family when young adults like Debbie are venturing out into the unknown and taking their first steps of independence. I can't wait to read the full book.
