I found myself very drawn into this book and wanting to find out what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed how we were introduced to the characters, they were simply presented to us as they are and we are slowly fed more information about them which allows our idea of them to develop naturally. I felt that I empathised with the protagonist being of a similar age and position in life. Debbie embodies that feeling of wanting to get out and see the world but also being terrified of what you might find in the unknown. I really like the cover and how simple it is. Having read the exact I can see how it symbolised two stages of Debbie's life and how looking out into the stage of going off to college and into the world for the first time.
