This sounds like a great coming of age story! The fact that she needs to rely on the safety of her unconventional country bumpkin family makes me think all will not be well on her travels. Im intrigued by her alcoholic uncle and from reading the first few chapters, feel invested in Debbie's journey into adulthood.
