I really enjoyed the ease at which this book reads (or at least the first few chapters do). As someone who is in their final year of secondary education I empathise with Debby’s trepidation, specifically when meeting new people at university.
The temporal element of this book drew me in and reminded me of Education (by Tara Westover). I felt the childhood stories gave me time to reflect and enjoy the story as it developed. I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between Debby and Bobby and look forward to seeing how this progresses over the timeline.
