Seems like an interesting coming of age tale. Seems like it balances of wanting to open up and experience all the newness of going off to college - meeting new people, living in a new town, and learning new things - versus the awkwardness of being gauche and unsophisticated, and living in a backwards "gobshite" little town.
There's also the slight weirdness of Billy who lives in a Caravan and runs a dairy farm but is also well read and very knowledgeable. Debbie seems very in her own head and oddle emotional. Not sure if thats meant to be a teenage thing or something particular to her. Interesting layered characters.
