I like the front page of this book. It is contrasted and the figure of the isolate girl suggests that it has some depth to it despite the blurb on the back indicating what seems to be a coming of age story.
I was intrigued by the title, I wonder in what context the author uses it: whether it indicates that the main character is deemed overly sensitive or whether it has any political inferences. These are not indicated by the blurb therefore on the title alone I would like to know more.
The descriptions is interesting, it appears to describe a story in which a young girl has to deal with significant changes in her own life whilst balancing alcoholism and mental health issues within her immediate family. When written well books like this are important in helping young people to realise that they are not alone with dealing with similar issues.
I am intrigued by this book and would be keen to read more.
