When I first read the blurb, I was reminded of a coming of age story, reminding me somewhat of books such as the Perks of Being a Wallflower and Normal People. After reading an extract from the start, I immediately became intrigued and I want to continue to read the story - the writing style seems natural and easy to read, and you can see the characters' stories develop right from the start.
