Seems like an interesting coming of age tale. With interestingly layered characters, it also looks like it's a balance of wanting to open up, meeting new people, living in a new town, and learning new things - all the things that going off to college offers - versus the awkwardness of being gauche and unsophisticated, and living in a backwards "gobshite" little town.
