Okay first of all, I love growing up books - I don't know, they make me sad sometimes, but I like that everyone can relate to them to some extent.
I'm also excited because this is an interesting family, rather than just the typical nuclear family; her eccentric mother who could perhaps develop some dark tendencies or beliefs, her uncle Billy who possibly is an alcoholic, and Debbie who is going to Trinity College - so is quite clever maybe?
I think that Debbie's interactions with her 'new sophisticated friends' will be interesting to see, as she's been living on a dairy farm in the countryside for the past 18 years, and I'm interested to see if she feels as though she's struggling to fit in, or if she brings something new and exciting to Dublin.
