The publisher's synopsis immediately immediately attracted me because I love coming-of age novels and it seems that this story will tackle a whole range of challenges, not only around mental health, but also how to negotiate establishing an independent identity whilst valuing the importance of what your family has to offer you.
It's such a shame that there was no link to a sneak preview so I can't judge the appeal of Louise Nealon's writing style but Roddy Doyle's enthusiastic endorsement (he's one of my favourite author's!) is enough to make me believe that Snowflake will be a treat to read!
