From the off, I really enjoyed how the author set the scene in the dairy farm. It gave me a homely feel, despite not ever having lived in a farmland area. I particularly like how the blurb insinuates that the protagonist is starting out in a new unfamiliar area, and may encounter challenges along the way. This is something that a lot of kids go through at some point in their early life, something I myself have gone through.
'...novel about growing up and leaving home, only to find that you've taken it with you.' This quote really intrigues me into what Debbie has taken with her from her family (perhaps her mother's nature of daydreaming), I'm curious to see how she adapts to her new life.
