I loved this book. Relatable, brutally honest, raw. An extraordinary read.

A coming of age tale in modern day Ireland about family, friendship and navigating college life in Dublin City while living on a dairy farm.

Plenty of funny and quirky moments to balance the dark and heartbreaking moments as the characters all deal with their own demons.

The protagonist Debbie has a tough home life and tries to find herself once she gets to college but she can’t escape her past and needs to deal with unresolved feelings.

I enjoyed the scenes with her uncle and the stars. Debbie is very likeable even though it does seem like she doesn’t even like herself at times.

I don’t really know what else to say about this book, only I highly highly recommend you read it! I finished this back in August and I’m still mulling it over.

I can’t wait for Louise Nealon’s next book.
