Reading the first chapter It wasn’t really gripping me, but I carried on and what a fantastic story, ups and downs and a few laughs along the way.
Debbie is a country girl through and though, living on a rural farm with just her mad (but brilliant) mum and her uncle billy who has been the one she looks up to. Then there is James her mums much younger boyfriend (Debbie had a school girl crush on him) they all muddle along oks until Debbie goes off to college in the big city and her eyes are opened to a strange new world, on her first day she meets Xanthe (santy) and it’s lovely to see there friendship develop through out this book , not always a smooth one either but they end up been there for each other throughout. A bit of a rich girl poor girl friendship but that never gets in the way for them. I am hopeful of a follow on to this book as at the end I was wanting more....
