I really enjoyed reading this book!

Debbie lives on a dairy farm with her uncle, who lives in a caravan and her mother, who suffers from a mental illness. Debbie starts University at Trinity and finds it difficult to fit in and make friends. The story follows Debbie as she starts to navigate her life around University and her family.

I loved the writing style. Lousie Nealon uses humour and emotion throughout. This book was also very different in terms of writing style as to what I usually read. The book was more character-driven.

This was a lovely novel that covered topics such as mental health, suicide and family, which were written in an understanding way. There is also mention of dreams. I don't want to give away any spoilers but I loved the book. I thought it had been written really well and I could not put the book down. I did think that maybe the ending could have been expanded a bit more. I would have liked to know a bit more about what happened next. However, I would recommend this book to others.
