This was a very interesting book, and I felt like its representation of mental health issues such as BPD and depression was very good. I enjoyed watching the main character grow, and I loved her and Xanthe's friendship too! I found it very warming and funny at times, but it balanced this with a degree of sadness too. As an English person, I enjoyed the Irish perspective and this would encourage me to read more books by Irish authors! There were some things that I felt were not wrapped up for me, such as whether (SPOILER ALERT) Debbie was actually sleeping with these dudes or not, but I suppose that this probably wasn't the point, that plot point was just to highlight her self destructive behaviours. I found particular points very emotive, such as Maeve's breakdown after James' death, and I think the writer dealt with it very well. All in all, I would recommend this book.
