I received the advance copy of this book by Louise Nealon. I wasn't very keen on the cover as a little stark but i am glad I was given a copy otherwise I might have missed this fantastic debut. The story centres around Debbie, her mother Maeve and uncle Billy. They live on a farm and Debbie goes away to university but struggles initially to find her way. The story looks at the struggles of growing up, relationships, families and at the end of the day everyone is different and has their own struggles. The book deals well with mental health and I think this one would be good for students leaving home! I loved the characters Louise has created and really enjoyed getting to know them as the story progresses. I don't want to give too much away in t he review but I couldn't put the book down once i had started reading! Can't wait to read more by this author.
