From the first page I found this book so easy to read and it really sucked me in. I wasn’t sure if this book was going to be my cup of tea but it was so easy to read and very enjoyable I powered through the book without realising. I love the cover and the lovely contrasting colours, although simple it’s so eye catching. I love how this book deals with some heavy issues in debbies life including mental health, which is something I deal with myself so I found this very relatable. I really loved Debbie and loved to watch her grow as a character and step outside her comfort zones. This book is a lovely coming of age novel that I feel will be very relatable for a lot of young people who may have experienced some of the situation Debbie has in the book.
I found some of the characters in likeable but in the ended I wanted them all to have their happy ending.
I would highly recommend for a lovely light summer read.
