I loved the cover and was intrigued to read some of the authors work. I have not read the Beekeeper of Aleppo, although I was, of course, aware of it.
The synopsis was intriguing and when I opened up the interior 'sneak peek' pdf, i was struck by the beautiful design and the great choice of font.
I have to admit, I did not fully grasp the significance of the first (very short) chapter but that inspired me to read on a find out more.
You can tell the quality of the writing from the very start and the wonderfully evocative language transports you into the world of the characters from the first page of chapter 2. I would love to read more!
